Two local BJP leaders were killed in separate incidents within a span of 24 hours in the district, triggering tension in the area, officials said.
In the first incident, body of Mahendra Pal Kashyap (40), a local BJP leader, was found hanging from a tree in Manakpur village on Friday morning.
In the second incident, unidentified motorcyclists shot dead Harsau (42), a local BJP leader and cousin of BJP MP from Aonla, Dharmendra Kashyap, in Bhamaura area on Friday night.
