Dalit asks for wages, gets beaten up

A Dalit youth in Maharashtra’s Osmanabad district was beaten up in full public view by a dominant caste landowner after the former asked for wages due to his family.
The incident took place on Monday in Sarola village. Raju Dhaktode (21), whose father worked as labourer in the fields of Vinod Patil from the Maratha caste, asked for wages on behalf of his father.
